Etyeki Kúria Chardonnay, 2019

The limestone dominated vineyards of the Etyek-Buda wine region, located just outside of Budapest, were compared in the past to the terroir of Champagne. Chardonnay is one of the three major varieties, vinified in a variety of styles. In this interpretation, 25% of the wine fermented in barrel, while the rest stayed in stainless steel tanks to preserve fruitiness.

The nose is rich with yellow fruits, apple, pear, grapefruit, a little acacia, combined with roasted nuts and vanilla. On the palate, lemon, pomelo, yellow apple, subtle white pepper. Slight saltiness in the finish.
