“Egri Csillag” translates as the “Star of Eger” and it refers to the sight of torches at the watchmen’s huts on the outskirts of Eger, showing the way for travellers at night. Egri Csillag is the white pair of Egri Bikavér. A blend of four base wines, this Superior quality Eger white was made with the purpose of producing an elegant, serious, rich, long-lived wine. It faithfully reflects the face of the Eger Wine Region, the cool climate, the beautiful ripeness, the refreshing acidity resulting in a profound and complex wine.
