Vylyan Mandulás, 2017

As typical in the Villány wine region, the winery’s speciality is Cabernet Franc, which is cultivated on 22 hectares in 4 vineyards. They believe that the variety has a great potential. For ageing they prefer small oak barrels, years of experience has shown that Cabernet Franc and Hungarian oak work well together. The wine develops attractive aromas through barrel ageing, but doesn’t lose any of the characteristics that make the variety so well loved. Bottle ageing is of vital importance, over the years this wine develops into something showing bort harmony and definite character. Mandulás is one of the jewels of the winery.
