Bojta Winery Tokaj

The vineyards lie between Mad and Tallya, cover about 3 hectares of contiguous area, with southern exposure, at 215-255 m altitude above sea level with 8-12% slopes. The predominant type of soil is brown earth originated in the Tertiary period of earth history from the detrital sedimentary rocks of andesite, andesite tuff, rhyolite and rhyolite tuff. The vineyard was planted in the late 1960s and the early 1980s with Furmint, Hárslevelű and Muscat Blanc varieties. Due to the strict yield control the average production of this small sized family winery is about 5000 bottles/year.
