Gábor Kardos has been running the family winery, Kardos Vineyards, together with his father since 2008. His father is in charge of viticulture, while Gábor is responsible for winemaking and all other things connected to the the winery.
The family has been growing grapes for centuries. They work with the dominant and traditional grape varieties of the wine region, making characterful dry white wines and late harvest dessert wines. Their pride and joy is the world-famous Tokaj Aszú, which is produced only in outstanding vintages and in limited quantities. They consider their most recent Aszú, the 2013 6 puttonyos their top wine.
