Etyeki Kúria Merlot, 2018

Through massal selection, the Merlot vines with the best characteristics were identified in three Bordeaux vineyards, which we then planted in Balf, near the town of Sopron in northwestern Hungary. In the last 10 years, Merlot has earned its place in our portfolio, as the other key variety besides Kékfrankos, and has become one of our most sought-after red wines almost unexpectedly. When tasting, it is defined by the trio of blackberry, stewed plum and kirsch, complemented by black pepper, clove, with dark chocolate and a little caramel in the finish. A really velvety wine.
